Do I need a permit to take my tree down?
Possibly. It depends on your township and where your tree is located. If your tree is located between the curb and sidewalk you may need a permit. If you are clearing a large area you may need approval from your township. Contact your local township office to see if your tree service requires a permit first. All customers are responsible for applying and receiving their own permit before work is preformed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO REMOVE A SHADE TREE(S) Please fill out the attached form and affidavit and submit to the Bristol Borough Municipal Building. The borough will conduct an inspection of the tree(s) to be removed. Upon said inspection, you will be notified whether or not you can remove the shade tree(s). If permission is granted, a replacement shade tree(s) must be planted within six (6) months of the date of removal of the tree(s).
